An earlobe repair is a procedure in which a lobe that is torn or stretched is repaired. Your provider will cut away the skin lining the tear, remove excess tissue if necessary and suture the lobe back together. Once healed the provider can re-pierce the ear.
Is it Covered by Insurance?
This is considered cosmetic in nature and will not be covered by insurance.
What is the Downtime/Recovery?
There may be mild discomfort to the earlobe immediately following the procedure. You will need to apply an ointment for 1-week post procedure to reduce the risk of infection and have sutures removed 7-10 days after.
